Aside from being great hairdressers and taking excellent care of our clients we are also happy to act as tour guides for the downtown area!! The salon attracts so many travelers from out of state or outside of downtown and one of the things we do most is recommend restaurants and bars. After having your hair done why not head out and meet friends for a great happy hour or just a little cocktail? Here are just a few of our favorite spots that are within walking distance of the salon. Now, when we say these are our favorite we really mean it. These are places we go to regularly so don’t be surprised if you run into us there!!!!
The Imperial is located on Broadway. This a great place for lunch or dinner. The owner Chef Vitaly Paley makes such delicious food!!! The atmosphere is lively and sophisticated. If you decide to go alone they have a beautiful bar that is usually very social. The wait staff is very friendly and helpful.
Tasty N’ Alder is just 3 blocks up Alder from us on 12th avenue. No dress code here. They serve a really good Bim Bop. I actually can’t think of what else I’ve eaten other than that. It’s a bowl of happiness. Great at lunch time although there may be a wait depending on your group size.
Pepe Le Moko Great classic cocktail names with a twist of originality. I like the grasshopper. Savory bites accompanied by plenty of oysters on the half shell. The best group size is 1 or 3 people. This place is tiny and cozy.
Jack Knife The Best place in downtown to go out for drinks with friends period. DO NOT GO ON FRIDAY OR SATURDAY. Waaaaay to busy. If you go any other night of the week you will have an excellent time sipping great drinks in a cool atmosphere. Say hello to the adorable staff Steve, Nick, Jordan and Mathew!!! We love this place!!
