With over 25 years in the hair craft, I’ve had opportunities working in New York, Berlin and Paris, and styling hair for fashion magazines, advertising and fashion shows. In the salon, I love the variety of the work, cutting and coloring hair with the focus on the individual. Translating trends to everyday hair, inspiration is found in the uniqueness of each person.”

With over 25 years in the hair craft, my passion started as a teenager. Early hair experiments on friends were inspired by goth, mod and punk music. My studies in art history gave way to formal hair training in beauty school. Refining my skills further at the Sassoon Academy in Santa Monica, Vidal Sassoon’s architectural approach became my foundation to haircutting. As a young salon stylist, my work was recognized with the Intercoiffure/Vidal Sassoon “Excellence in New Design” Award.

I made New York my home for much of my career, where I learned from industry legends Luigi Murenu, Yannick D’Is, Wendy Iles and Paul Hanlon. Pursuing jobs for fashion magazines and advertising, I also lived abroad in Berlin, Hamburg and Paris. I styled hair for Fashion Week in New York, London and Paris, at shows for Armani Couture, Lanvin, Louis Vuitton, Givenchy, Tommy Hilfiger, Cynthia Rowley and Dries van Noten. I also worked on film and print advertising for Goldwell, Wella, Schwarzkopf, KMS and Chanel, and had opportunities to work with icons like Martin Scorsese, Terry Richardson and Jean-Baptiste Mondino.

In the salon, I love the variety of the work. Like sculpting with scissors and razors for structure, volume, and movement. Or the alchemy of haircolor, using tone and dimension like painting. Translating trends to everyday hair, inspiration is found in the uniqueness of each person.
